Exploring Bermuda

Somebody pinch me! I cant believe that I was just on an fabulous cruise to Bermuda! The ship docked at the Royal Naval Dockyard on the west end of the island. On the first day we chartered a catamaran, courtesy of FantaSea. Our captain, Stephen, took us where ever we wanted to go. We went snorkeling, visited a ship wreck circa. 1726, looked for sea glass and booze cruised around the island with Bermuda's drink of choice - Rum Swizzle.  The rest of our trip was spent exploring the pink (yes pink!) sand beaches of Horse Shoe Bay and looking for sea glass at Black Bay beach. We also explored the town and stopped at an old cemetery where you can still read tomb stones of those who died as long ago as 1820's. There was also a lot to do at port like shop, eat rum cake and shop some more. We got to see local artist make beautiful pieces out of glass, clay and jewelry from the pretty pink sand. These photos are just a glimpse of what I experienced. If you ever get a chance to visit, you wont be able to put your camera down.

Cheers!

Georgetowner | Casual, Everyday Delicious

Who likes hearing "your required to wear a jacket if you want to eat here?" I love amazing food but I don't want to have to conform to a certain standard just to have a meal. For this photography editorial, I photographed two AMAZING "casual dinning" restaurants in our Nation's capital. Joey and Tim Ma of Water and Wall made the cover of the latest issue of The Georgetowner. (Check out these awesome cups they use for their moscow mule!) The other restaurant I shot was Del Campo with chef Victor Albisu. For all you foodies out there, they are both a 'must eat' place and you don't need to wear a jacket!

Siren

I started my summer off right by taking a trip up to Long Island, NY to shoot the latest collection for Siren. Angelique Mango and her daughter, Katherine Pfingsten are the creative designers behind this funky-chic resort label you can find in downtown Annapolis at Way off the Beaten Path. I absolutely LOVE these unique prints that Katherine created for this collection. Each piece is block printed by hand with organic cotton and vegetable dye. Take a look at these gorgeous pieces on our beautiful models Aunika Warren and Chrissy Fitzgerald!

Second Shooting

I love my job, especially when I get to work with photographers like Marisa of MisaME Photography. I was so excited when Marisa asked me to be a second shooter for Steven and Jessica's beautiful wedding. We spent the day in downtown Annapolis. First at the gorgeous St. Mary’s Parish where the ceremony was held and then later to party at the Marriott Waterfront (with a view to die for). The entire day was filled with lots of laughter and love. Here are some of my favotate shots!
